In Honor of Our Lady of Fatima

We had a fun afternoon yesterday, celebrating the feast of Our Lady of FatimaFirst we watched The Day the Sun Danced: The True Story Of Fatima while I baked some mini Dancing Sun Cupcakes.  After that I read my children the story of Our Lady of Fatima by Father Lovasik, while they colored this beautiful coloring page.

After that, I gave in and let them watch one more movie, The Miracle of Our Lady of Fatima, so I could get back to my book!! ;)   Which, I might add, I started and FINISHED yesterday -- that is, if 2am this morning counts as yesterday!  I've been totally hooked to this series

I hope you all had a lovely feast of Our Lady of Fatima!

  6. Jumped over here from Pinterest. WHERE did you get that coloring book. I had that as a child about 30 years ago! Also, I assume that you like that series of Saint movies. I've been tempted to get them for my children, but I read some reviews that weren't so great. I totally trust your opinion. What ages? Thanks!! Need to get things in order for the 13th!

  7. It is a gorgeous coloring book, isn't it?! I am pretty sure that our copy was given to us by my Mother-in-Law (who runs a Catholic Book Store) but I could be wrong - it could have been from one of the children's godparents... I don't remember purchasing it myself... My copy was published in 1987 and I did a search over at Amazon with the ISBN number and found this product page. I hope that helps!

And, yes, I do love the CCC Saint movies, but I grew up watching them, so perhaps I am a bit bias? This is one of my favorites, in addition to Nicholas: The Boy who became Santa; Francis the Knight of Assisi; and Bernadette – The Princess of Lourdes. Ages 3-10 or so, though my 11 year old will still watch them... I guess it would depend on the child.
