    1. Thank you Kathy! It was nice to spend Christmas Eve with some of my family. My mom and little brother Kevin were flying back from a golf tournament in Georgia on Christmas Eve, and sister Jennifer was flying in really late too, but we had my Dad, my brother Brian and his wife and daughter, the twins - JoAnn & Mary, Julianna, and my youngest brother David - which was only half of my siblings... Hopefully someday we will all be able to get together again!

  8. SO beautiful! Thanks for sharing--I especially love the one of little Rose and her "pink-uh" tree, asleep on Christmas eve! Blessings to your lovely family, and please if you read this, please pray for my husband Robert who was diagnosed with probable liver cancer today (he is awaiting a liver transplant for hepatitis so they do yearly scans to check for cancer developing and this year, they found a mass in the liver. Please pray!)

    Thanks and bless you!

    1. Oh, Kerry, it made me so sad to read this last night. I've been praying for you and your husband! I had some liver issues earlier this year, and though they resolved themselves (I am sure from everyone's prayers) it was scary! I will continue to pray!!

    2. Thank you Jessica, that means the world to me! I have a great deal of admiration for you and your strong faith. Please do continue to pray for my Robert--they did say it was very treatable and that it would move him much further up the liver list, but they also saw "something" in his lung that they said did not light up from the contrast dye like cancer would, plus that is the same location where he had lung surgery 20 years ago and could be scar tissue, or could be from his recent pneumonia, so they want to do a CT scan of his lung this week to see what they see there and then on the 22nd it will all be evaluated by a specialized radiologist and his transplant team to decide what treatment is needed. I know that if you have cancer anywhere besides the liver, though, it bumps you off the transplant list, so please pray that the thing in his lung is not cancer. Thank you so much for your prayers!!

  9. Jessica,
Lovely pictures. I have to admit i was struck most my your bunk beds. Where did you get them. We have 6 boys all in the same room and would love to have bunk beds like that. Please share if you get the chance.
God bless your family. You are all an inspiration!

  10. My all time favorite photo is of the little pink tree and nativity at the bedside while sugar plums surely dance in her head! Your entire family is gorgeous and the muffin tin treats inspired me. What a lovely, memorable Christmas for your family. God Bless you in 2013!

    1. You know, it does look pink in this picture with the lighting, but the photo in this post is actually of Chiquita sleeping and the big girls tree is purple. I agree though, it is a favorite picture of mine - though it makes me want to move some of the pillows and slip one under her head! :)

I will have to check and see if I even took one of Rose sleeping.. I was half asleep when I was walking around snapping a few pictures (I had fallen asleep while Sean finished filling the stockings and placing the gifts under the tree!!) and I didn't want to wake up Bud!

  11. Lovely pictures! Agreeing with the others about the triple bunk bed! we have two small bedrooms for our 5 kids and who knows how many others will come in the future. We would love to hear about the beds if you have a moment to spare.

  12. Beautiful! Can I ask you what camera you use? You get amazing shots in very tough lighting conditions (the tree lights). Thank you and God Bless!

    1. Thank you Julie! I have (and LOVE) a Canon 60D. It was an upgrade to my Canon Rebel. I took the tree light pictures without using the flash and it captures the light so beautifully!

  13. The Triple Bunk! LOL I almost didn't include that picture since whenever I post a picture of that bed it tends to become the topic of conversation. :) I've actually been meaning to write a post on the boys bedroom and bunk bed since March, the last time my husband was on training, and never did get around to it. Maybe I can find time this week!

Anyways, I actually made the triple bunk from the boys' two bunk beds that had belonged to my little brothers which were handed down to us from my parents when our oldest boys were toddlers!

(You can see pictures of the two double bunks here.)
